In this blog I will be analysing the responses I got from my questionnaire. I will also use the graphs and charts I made using Excel.
The graph above shows that 50% of the responses I got were
from males. At the same time, 41.7% of the responses were from females. And
8.3% preferred not to say. The percentage of males is more significant than the
rest because most of the students I shared my questionnaire with my class at
DMUIC were males. Despite only getting 24 responses, a variety of opinions were
shared, which is useful for my research.

From the graph above, we can see that the majority of people
who answered my questionnaire were between the ages of 18-24, coming at 58%;
this is because I shared my questionnaire with my classmates, most of whom were
in this age group. In addition, we can see that 25% of the participants were 30
and above, and 16.7% were under 18.
Looking at the graph above, we can see the responses I got
regarding people’s occupations. Around 83.3% (20) of the participants were
students since my classmates mostly answered the questionnaire, compared with
the 12.5% (3) participants who were retired. And 4.2% (1) worked in healthcare
& medicine.
This question asks people if they were ever hacked. 79.2%
(19) answered no. However, 20.8% (5) answered yes. From this chart, we can see
that some people were victims of hackers.
From this chart, we can see that 50% (12) stated that they
use an antivirus system, and at the same time, 50% (12) of the participant
stated they do not use an antivirus system.
20.8% (5) of the participants say they use an antivirus
system frequently. In comparison, 45.8% (11) of participants say they rarely
use one. Finally, 33.3% (8) of the participants say they have never used an
antivirus system.
When it came to the participant's knowledge regarding
cyber-attacks, we got several different responses. The question asked them to
choose between 0 to 5 (5 = expert, 0 = no knowledge). 4.2% (1) say that they
are experts in cyber-attacks, while 12.5% (3) say that they know about it but
do not consider themselves experts. At the same time, 33.3% (8) of the respondent’s
state that they are aware of this topic but are not educated enough. In
addition, 16.7% (4) of respondents might consider themselves beginners on this
topic. 29.2% (7) are not that sure about their knowledge on this topic. And
4.2% (1) do not know about cyber-attacks.
The chart above shows that 83.3% (20) believe using an
antivirus system is important and helpful, whereas 4.20% (1) believe that
antivirus systems are not that important. Lastly, 12.5% (3) say that they
consider antivirus systems helpful but not that important and are not really
needed.
In conclusion. I am quite happy with the variety of answers I received. Although, in the future I would probably add more questions and send out my questionnaire to more people.
